About Tom Reilly
Tom Reilly was an engaged member of the Millbury community and possessed a strong passion for writing, trivia and literature. He was best known around town for his weekly column, "Just A Thought Or Two," in the Millbury-Sutton Chronicle where he shared his thoughts regarding local happenings and the political landscape. Tom was also a beloved English teacher at Millbury Memorial High School for over 14 years where he supported students both in and outside of the classroom. He will be remembered for his honesty, compassion and kindness to others. Tom passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
Eligibility
This scholarship opportunity is available to graduating high school seniors who presently reside in the Second Worcester District. The District comprises of the Towns of Auburn, Grafton, Leicester, Millbury, Shrewsbury, Precincts 2 and 4 in Northbridge, Upton, and Wards 5-7 and Precincts 1 and 5 in Ward 8 of the City of Worcester. Submission
Applicants are required to submit their application via the online form (below) to be considered for the scholarship. All materials must be submitted no later than the application deadline specified below.
Application Deadline & Notification
The deadline to apply for the Thomas M. Reilly Scholarship is Friday April 21, 2017 at 5:00PM. Upon submission, applicants will receive confirmation that their completed application was received and is under review. One applicant will be selected for the scholarship and receive notification of their selection no later than Friday, May 19, 2017.
