Matthew Ritter
Chief of Staff

Matthew Ritter, a Central Massachusetts native, joined Senator Moore’s Office in January 2014 after graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He served as Senator Moore’s Legislative Director until he took over the role of Chief of Staff in late 2023.

As Chief of Staff, Matt manages office operations, supports staff, and advises the Senator on matters relative to legislation, the district, communications, and strategy.  In addition, Matt meets with interested stakeholders and constituents on policy issues facing the Second Worcester District and the Commonwealth.

Outside of the office, you can often find Matt in the middle of a bad golf swing or a good book.
