Dear Friend,

Together, we got a lot done last session. My bills allowing pharmacists to prescribe and dispense hormonal birth control without an appointment, banning the use of toxic PFAS chemicals in firefighting gear, legalizing the use of school bus traffic safety cameras, protecting a buyer’s right to a home inspection, legally defining “coercive control” as abuse, and more were signed into law. I’m so proud of this work — but we’re not done.

This year marks the beginning of the 194th General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and with it, the opportunity to set a new path forward toward creating a state that is more affordable, more equitable, and more prosperous. I filed over 100 pieces of legislation this session, covering a wide array of topics from affordability to sustainability.

During the next weeks and months, each and every one of the bills I’ve filed, along with those filed by my colleagues, will be referred to legislative committees where they will be thoroughly reviewed. As hearings are scheduled, I look forward to inviting you to share your thoughts and submitting testimony to the committees so that we can draft legislation that will make the Commonwealth a better place to live and work.

Additional information regarding each of the bills I filed is below. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or if my office may be of assistance to you.

Sincerely,

MICHAEL O. MOORE
State Senator
Second Worcester District
