An Act Establishing the Month of May as Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month

Summary

Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. It affects over 30,000 people in the United States, with approximately one thousand new cases diagnosed every year. In order to raise awareness about the disease and the benefits of early diagnosis, this bill would establish May as Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month.
