MILLBURY – Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) recently attended the annual luau celebration at CareOne at Millbury. The event brings together residents of CareOne, staff and their families. Other attendees included Town Manager David Marciello, Selectmen Francis King and Mary Krumsiek, former Selectman Joe Coggans, and Worcester County Sheriff Lewis Evangelidis.

“Many seniors have spent a lifetime contributing to our local communities,” said Senator Moore. “As our population ages, the Commonwealth has an obligation to provide the services necessary for our seniors to live healthy, productive lives. This includes access to quality healthcare and opportunities to engage in meaningful, substantive programs. I always look forward to this event every year to meet with local residents and staff at CareOne.”

Located off Millbury Avenue, CareOne is a 154-bed skilled nursing facility that provides both short and long term care. For years, the facility had formerly been known as Millbury Health Care Center.
