GRAFTON – Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) and Representative David K. Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton) attended the recent pinning ceremony for newly-appointed and promoted officers of the Grafton Police Department.
Both legislators joined Grafton Police Chief Normand Crepeau, Jr., members of the Department, local officials and family at the event held within the police station. Five officers were recognized at the ceremony including two new officers; David Spellman and Jensen Plotkin. Several officers were also promoted including Lieutenant Neil Minardi and Sergeants James Crosby and Liam O’Rourke.
“Our men and women in blue are on the front lines keeping our community safe,” said Senator Moore, who formerly served twenty-two years as an Environmental Police Officer. “I offer my sincere congratulations to all of the officers recognized at the pinning ceremony. We appreciate all that they do for the Town.”
“I want to congratulate Lieutenant Minardi and Sergeants Crosby and O’Rourke on their well-deserved promotions with the Department,” said Representative Muradian. “I also want to welcome Officers Plotkin and Spellman, and wish them the best of luck in all their future endeavors. We are truly lucky to have such an outstanding Police force in our community to ensure safety for our residents, and for that I thank you.”
