Leicester native participates in internship program
BOSTON – Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) welcomed Aliciea Diaz of Leicester to the State House as part of the office internship program. Aliciea interned within Senator Moore’s State House Office several days during the fall.
A senior at Leicester High School (LHS), Aliciea is an active member of the school community where she serves as a member of the Executive Board of Student Council, President of the Environmental Club, member of the Principal Council, and the Voice of Leicester High. Outside of school, Aliciea works at a local diner.
“I appreciate Aliciea taking time out of her busy schedule to assist my staff and I with several projects that will benefit residents of the Second Worcester District,” said Senator Moore. “She is a bright, talented young woman who is destined for a promising career in government and public policy.”
Interns in Senator Moore’s State House office assist with daily office operations, conduct legislative research, attend informational seminars with legislators and constitutional officers, and have a first-hand opportunity to observe the Massachusetts legislative process.
