BOSTON - Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) and State Representative David K. Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton) are proud to announce that Grafton has been awarded a loan through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program.
The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection recently presented loans to fund 70 projects, impacting 44 communities across the Commonwealth. The CWSRF is a joint federal-state financing loan program that provides state-subsidized interest rate loans to fund projects that improve and protect water quality.
Specifically, Grafton received a $2,780,000 loan which will be used towards pumping station improvements. With these funds, the community will have the ability to make these stations more efficient for the future.
“Congratulations to the Town of Grafton on receiving funding through this important loan program,” said Senator Moore. “This loan will enhance existing infrastructure, promote water quality and, by enhancing efficiency, have a tremendous impact on protecting our most precious natural resource. I commend the Administration for awarding these grants and I look forward to continuing my support in the Senate to help ensure that these funds are available to flow in the future.”
“I am excited to announce that Grafton is a recipient of a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan,” said Representative Muradian. “This loan is an important step towards promoting clean and more efficient water facilities. I want to thank the Baker-Polito Administration and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection for their constant dedication to moving Massachusetts towards a greener tomorrow. I look forward to working with them in the future to not only further progress our community, but also our Commonwealth”
